RAINY RIVER DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD ANNOUNCES 2026 REINVESTMENT PRIORITIES
Fort Frances, ON – March 2026 — The Rainy River District School Board (RRDSB) has approved a series of reinvestments for 2026–27 that strengthen student learning, wellbeing, and access to innovative programs across the District.
The Board has endorsed the following priorities:
• “Insights at a Glance” Data Dashboards
Implementation of dashboards to support system and school leaders with timely, to inform school improvement efforts.
• “Learning without Walls” Outdoor Classroom
Development of an outdoor learning space on existing RRDSB property within the Town of Fort Frances, to advance land-based, inquiry driven learning.
• “Voices Connected” - Translation Supports for English Language Learners Exploration of real-time translation enhancements to classroom audio systems to improve access and belonging for the increasing multilingual learners throughout RRDSB schools.
In addition, the Board reviewed other proposals aimed at improving facilities and expanding pathway opportunities for students. These initiatives will continue to be explored through further analysis and planning processes to determine long term feasibility and alignment with future capital priorities.
