School Recognition:
Steeped in Learning, Served with Community - Sturgeon Creek School Spring Tea
Principal Kerri Tolen, joined by Teacher Robert Kinsman and Grade 8 Students Mason and Rihanna, provided a presentation on the long-standing Sturgeon Creek School Spring Tea. Among many memorable moments, last year’s tea featured the Grade 7/8 Students performing Indigenous hoop dances that they learned through Connected North sessions.
System-Program/Curriculum Success:
Superintendent of Education Brad Oster and STEM Coordinator Tanya Kroocmo provided a report on progress toward the key priorities of the RRDSB’s Math Achievement Plan for 2025-2026.

The board approved the following policies:
Policy 8.36 Hospitality
Policy 1.19 Audit and Policy 8.45 Fraud Prevention and Management were approved for community consultation.
The Board approved community notice to rescind Policy 1.75 Risk Appetite.
